What is Holiday Joy with the Bloomington Chorale?

The Bloomington Chorale was not able to accommodate a full session this season therefore, we will be doing a shorter and less formal session called “Holiday Joy”, where we will sing well known holiday songs from the BC library.

When is it?

We would meet on Monday nights from 7-8:30pm for 8 weeks at The Bloomington Center for the Arts to learn and practice the music from October 4th to November 22nd

Who is leading us?

Kathy Hensen, who is the music director at Redemption, as well as co-director of NOTEables and the Virtual Chorale, would conduct the group from the piano.  Note that Dave Donelson and Elise Bombero are still the BC music director and accompanist and will be back with us when we start our Spring season in January.

Are we performing?

Over the course of the rehearsals, we will be looking for a couple of venues in which to perform the music, whether we rent the Schneider for a day, or maybe visit senior living facilities but this is still TBD.

What else do I need to know?

The cost to participate would be $40/singer and we would require proof of vaccination.  We will also require masks but will leave it up to each individual singer as to what works best for them.
